Lead time is the honest difference. Synthesis, lyophilization and lot testing all happen after you order rather than before, so these lines carry a longer lead time than any stocked line. The quote states the date; the page for each compound says only that the line is quoted, because a lead-time figure that is wrong half the time is worse than none.
