Ordering at volume

A blend is one line, one code and one rate, which is the first thing to grasp about buying it at volume. You are not buying two compounds that happen to travel together; you are buying a vial, and the vial reaches its break on its own count. Two thousand blend vials is a single line sitting at the 1,000-vial break. It does not become two lines of a thousand because there are two materials in the cake.

What the material is

This is a two-component blend in a single vial: the no-DAC form of the CJC-1295 growth hormone-releasing factor analogue together with ipamorelin, at 5 mg of each, which is what the 5/5 mg notation on the line records. The pair is freeze-dried together, so the vial holds one cake containing both materials rather than two layers or two chambers, and the proportion is fixed at vialing and cannot be altered afterwards.

The no-DAC half of the name is the half that matters most. The analogue here carries no drug-affinity-complex linker; the with-DAC material is a separate line with its own code. As supplied it is a white to pale off-white cake under a crimped seal. A blend has no single molecular mass to quote, so this copy states none — what the paperwork carries instead is the fill of each component.

Storage and reconstitution

Sealed blend vials sit at −20 °C, dark and dry, and the pair is no more robust than whichever of its two components is the more delicate. Short refrigerated holds are acceptable. The cake draws moisture from room air, so bring the vial up to room temperature before opening it and leave the stopper seated until the moment it is needed.

Both materials take up sterile water or a compatible laboratory buffer at the same time, and a clear solution with nothing visible in it means the cake has gone fully into solvent. The liquid goes down the wall, with a swirl instead of shaking. Keep the solution cold and shaded, and divide it before freezing if it will be used more than once, because freeze-thaw cycles are harder on a two-component solution than on a single peptide.
